Bracket dislodgement or breakage

It occurs when hard and sticky foods are eaten. If there is no pain or discomfort, it is not an emergency. If your bracket is still on the wire, do not try to remove it. If it bothers you, you can cover it with the wax given to you. And call your clinic.

Tape coming off

If they are on a wire, they will shake because they are out of place. Call your clinic, they will decide whether or not to change your previously made appointment.

Sinking of long wire

Sometimes the wire that ended where your molar tooth was and was not sinking before may start sinking later. This is because the tip of the wire is sticking out more due to tooth movement. Stick the waxes given to you and call your clinic. Your doctor will cut the sinking part.

Formation of white sores on the cheek, irritation of soft tissues

You may see white ulceration spots during the first week of your treatment. They may occur as a result of orthodontic brackets abrading your lips or cheeks. After a week, the upper layer of your lips or cheeks will get used to these hard metals and will thicken, so you will not feel any pain or discomfort later. What you need to do during this period is to place your candles on the brackets. If the wounds have not healed after 1 week, see your doctor.

The wire comes out of the tube

During your orthodontic treatment, a wire may come out of the tube in your molar. This is usually due to not paying attention to the foods your orthodontist tells you to eat. Try to place the wire in the tube with a clean pair of tweezers. If you cannot put it back in place, call your clinic.

Separation of the end of the metal wire around the bracket

The ends of the wires used to connect the orthodontic wire to the brackets can sometimes be shaped outward. This can occur as a result of hard brushing or eating hard foods. This wire tip also irritates the lips or cheeks. You can push this wire with the eraser of a pencil. If you cannot do this, you can put wax on it until you get to your clinic.

Elastic around the bracket comes off

If your elastics around your brackets come loose or get lost, call your clinic. You will either be told to wait until your next appointment or you may need to come in right away.
